Taking up the natural slope of the plot, the house was built in split-level construction: the otherwise continuous horizontal of the floors was broken up, the ground floor and upper floor were each divided into two levels, which were offset in height in relation to each other. Together with the basement, which was converted into living space, this created the five levels that give the house its name.
